One cannot help to wander what happened to the people in this Taxi. The photo of the Lioness sitting in front of the Taxi is classic to South Africa. The Car in the photo is commonly used as public transport and here the lioness is sitting in the Taxi and there is no passengers inside.
This photo will also give you an indication of how close you can really get to the lions.
The lions in the Lion park are generally very well behaved and are not very aggressive. But when visiting the Lion park one should remember that a lion is still a wild animal and although it might seem safe to be so close to these lions one should always keep your car door locked and your windows closed.
In this case the lioness seems to be protecting the Taxi while the laborers are busy fixing some of the fencing surrounding this lion camp.
